The Homestead Strike of 1892 was a big labor strike at a steel factory in Pennsylvania, owned by Andrew Carnegie. The workers at the factory were upset because the company wanted to lower their wages, even though they were already working long hours in tough, unsafe conditions, so they went on strike!
