What is when you can disclose educational records without written consent?
This information are the parts of a student record that are not considered generally harmful or an invasion of privacy if shared.
What is Directory Information?
If a student’s record is marked confidential, these are the parts of the record that you can share.
What is none of it?
If an agency or institution does not comply with FERPA, it will not be eligible to receive these.
What are federal funds administered by the DOE (such as federal grants for research projects, Title IV aid, etc.)?
Orientation leaders are considered this and have the same obligation to maintain the privacy of student records as any other employee.
What is university official?
This allows students to opt out of directory information release, essentially marking the student's record confidential in Banner. The forms are found on the Office of the Registrar website.
