This CDE is one of the most popular in the state of Wisconsin. It handles physical evlauations of cattle such as Holsteins, Jerseys, and more. It also deals with assessing herd management.

This CDE requires you to take a written exam about different types of tack, breeds, diseases, and feed. It also requires you to judge specimen under saddle and in halter classes.

This CDE requires people to judge the cut, retail price, and quality of beef carcasses. It also covers the processing, production and more.

This LDE requires a team of 6 people to demonstrate how to run an official meeting. The team will have one "president" who will conduct the meeting as outlined by the book "Roberts Rules of Order".
What is Parliamentary Procedure
This event happens in the spring when we bring 4th graders out to the farm to learn about agricultural related practices. They are able to tour a freestall barn, get hands on with farm machinery and animals, and learn about safe practices.

This CDE requires you to have knowledge about many animals, diseases, and medications.
What is Veterinary Science
This LDE requires participants to have resources they compiled by themselves. Participants draw a topic at random and then have to develop a speech using evidence in a short amount of time.

This event happens in the late spring when 3rd grade students come to the Sauk County fairgrounds and learn about safety around animals, machinery, chemicals, and the importance of wearing your seatbelt
