Flash drying is the process of quickly curing the top layer of ink on a freshly printed design. Flash drying allows the printer to print multiple colors on top of each other without the top layer damaging the layer below it.

What is an exposure booth, and what does it do?

An exposure booth is a piece of screen printing equiptment that exposes emulsed screens to high levels of UV light. This cures the emulsion surrounding the design, allowing for a stencil to form in the areas of emulsion that were not cured.

What is the purpose of flooding?

Flooding a screen before printing allows for the printer to have a smooth, consistent print. 

BONUS: When using water-based ink, flooding keeps the ink from drying in the mesh of the screen between prints.
