  • Families can expect to receive communication from your teacher via call. Text will only be used to communicate with parents if it is preferred.

  • All families are encouraged to reach out to their teachers via call, email, or the class google website. Please send your teacher an email if you’d like to be added to the google classroom as a guardian.

If a student copies the ideas, words, or opinions of someone else it will be considered cheating and/or plagiarism. This dishonesty will not be tolerated & will result in a zero for the assignment + an automatic detention, and/or more severe penalties for repeated offenses.

The 10th Grade College Seminar in Financial Literacy equips students with the knowledge and skills to confidently manage personal finances in high school, college, and adulthood. Through projects, collaboration, case studies, and reflective writing, students will explore budgeting, saving, credit, investing, and financial planning in real-world contexts. Lessons are designed to mirror the independence and responsibility required in college while cultivating agency, strategic thinking, and informed decision-making that prepare students to thrive in higher education and in their future financial lives.

  1. Explain core financial principles including saving, credit, debt, and investing, with an emphasis on applying them to real-life college scenarios.

  1. Class lessons will be engaging and interactive for students

  2. All graded work will be returned within 1 week of submission with necessary feedback attached.

  3. There will be a weekly opportunity to review class assessment data and mastery performance as a whole group.

  4. At least 1 week’s notice before all quizzes, 2 weeks notice for exams, and 1 month’s notice prior to finals
