Sequential is the stages in the process, but chronological is the events in the order that happen over time

Themes can be stated directly, demonstrated, or shown through implications.
What is a warrant (backing)?
A warrant is an underlying assumption about society's values.
What affects the style and tone of a writing?
The task, purpose, and audience affect the style and tone of writing. You have to determine if you need to be informal and formal, as well as many other things.
How do you determine if the research question is too weak or too strong?
If it is only applying to you it's going to be too specific. If it's too broad the essay will be way longer than that of 3-5 pages.
What do you use subheadings for?
You use subheadings to organize information and understand the main point of that section.
What is the main point of an argumentative essay?
To emphasize logic,reasons, evidence, and proving why the opposite viewpoint is wrong.
What should not be in an argumentative essay?
There should be no slang or first person pronouns such as I and You.
What are the difference between explicit and implicit?
Explicit is directly stated, while implicit is understood because it's often implied.
What is an oxymoron a type of?
An oxymoron is a type of paradox that has phrases which state truth but seem to contradict themselves.

What is the difference between basic vocabulary and academic vocabulary?
Basic vocabulary is frequent words seen in text messages or social media. Academic vocabulary is advanced words with complexity and formality.

THey are texts that are considered to have a historical significance.

The information has to be factual and have no bias present.
