Based on the Declaration of Independence, what were some of the values our founding fathers believed in and hoped to secure? Think about the natural rights they said we all ought to have.

All men are created equal; we all have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; when a government becomes tyrannical, it is the right and duty of the people to throw it over and replace it with a better form of government, etc.

Choose a character (juror number) from 12 Angry Men and explain their personality and what they show about juries. 

Varied --

Jurors 3, 7, and 10 are all biased against the defendant, which shows that unjust outcomes are possible when people don't care enough about justice

Juror 8 is the only person to originally vote "not guilty" and argue for at least discussing the case. He shows that even one person can support justice.

Several other jurors are bystanders (at least at first), and they each change their mind (many persuaded by juror 8)

Their complaints were called grievances, and they had a lot of them (26 to be exact!). Some of them were:

Quartering troops in their homes, taxation without representation, controlling them with British military, no real trials for British soldiers' crimes against colonists, etc.
