The Silk Road primarily traded luxury goods and the Indian Ocean trade routes had household goods along with luxury goods. The Indian Ocean carries household items because you can carry items in bulk and can sell more at lower prices. The two both sell luxury goods but have only a limited amount of the supply.
What is the "Divine Right of Kings"? How would Louis XIV use this principle to justify his rule?
The "Divine Right of Kings" is when people in the kingdoms say that God said he should rule. Louis XIV used the "Divine Right of Kings" to rule his empire. People would never go against what god said because they were extremely religious and would never defy God. People could say this out of just wanting power and could cause serious problems. Louis XIV was a rich man who created great power and buildings.
List and describe two achievements of Portuguese explorers in the exploration.
Bartholomew Diaz sailed around the southern tip of Africa and Vasco De Gama sailed farther than Diaz east to India. These explorations helped create trading posts from India to Portugal. Africa gained many trading posts with Portugal and other maritime exploration. Portugal was a trading post empire because on exploration they make tons of outposts that are part of them.

The meaning of "Reason over revelation" is reasoning over religion (life without church). The protestant reformation is an example of the 18th-century European traditions being questioned. Another is how people questioned if the church's practices were accurate and if should they follow their rules. Galileo questioned if the Earth was in the center of the universe and said that the Earth revolved around the Sun. In the 18th century, revelation was made that churches don't have every say so over everything.
