The Mongols are religiously tolerant and they rule by fear. The Mongols do not have a set religion. This allows them to expand a lot because it does not limit who can and can't be apart of the Mongols. They also rule by fear. If you say you don't want to join their empire they will kill the leaders of the town and put their heads on a stick in front of the next town. this ensured people would stay in the empire and not do anything wrong.

Akbar was very peaceful, but Aurangzeb was very controversial. Akbar was very religiously tolerant. Aurangzeb was not and he reinstated the Jizya tax. Akbar's empire was known as the golden age because it was a major success. Aurangzeb was the reason they fell.
