How did diseases spread from the trade routes in the Silk Road?

They spread by the things that people were trading with each other from village to village/country to country. A disease that was spread was the plague and which killed many people and it spread super fast. Rats were the main cause of the spreading of the plague. If the rats were either in with the items or eating the items, they would easily transfer from item to item.
