The status and respect of teachers are so high in our religion Islam that our teachers are given the status same as __________?
Our Parents!
Allah gives teachers the second highest rank after our parents because they are the reason we learn and be what we want to be.
Teaching is one of the noble jobs of society. A person who teaches us deserves all the respect and admiration. Any person who even teaches us a single word becomes our teacher.
Translate this hadith:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Shyness does not bring anything except good."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Ḥayāʾ is of the most superior qualities, of the greatest in status, and of the most beneficial. Indeed, it is quintessential to humanness, for whoever carries no ḥayāʾ has no share of humanness other than flesh, blood, and outward appearance. Likewise, there is no potential for good in a person [without it]. Were it not for this quality, he would never be hospitable to a guest, keep a promise, fulfill a trust, take care of anyone’s needs, prefer what is pleasant, avoid the obscene, cover his private parts, or abstain from fornication. Were it not for ḥayāʾ, many people would not have fulfilled any of their obligations, nor acknowledged the rights of any being, nor kept the ties of kin, nor even shown kindness to parents. The driving element in these acts is either religious, namely hoping for its good outcome [ultimately], or it is worldly, which is the ḥayāʾ of its doer from the [eyes of] creation. Therefore, were it not for ḥayāʾ from either the Creator or the creation, one would not have engaged in these acts.
Mention 3 major sins in Islam
1- shirk;
2- witchcraft;
3- killing a soul whom Allah has forbidden us to kill;
4- consuming orphans’ wealth;
5- consuming riba;
6- fleeing from the battlefield;
7- slandering chaste, innocent women.
What is the Hidden Shirk?
The people asked, "O messenger of Allah, what is secret Shirk?" He replied, "When a man gets up to pray and strives to beautify his prayer because people are looking at him; that is secret Shirk."
Mention 3 ways we should respect our teachers.
Answers can vary: We should not raise our voice above that of our teacher's. We should be very polite in front of our teacher. We should strive to cover up the faults of our teacher, and stress our teacher's nobilities.
Teachers in society have higher ranks and deserve all our respect. Those who honors and respect their teachers advance in life. Imam Jaffar Sadiq highlighted the subject of respect for teachers by saying: “On the day of judgment Allah will be pleased with a person who honors and respects a muslim scholar, and he will be annoyed with one who insults a muslim scholar.” This shows that even ALLAH (SWT) likes those who respect their teachers and dislike those who don’t show any respect or admiration for their teachers.
Mention 3 Ways a women can observe Modesty while outside of her home?
Wear loose clothing that does not attract (Wear hijab, abaya, niqab)
Avoid perfume, noise-making shoes, or makeup that will attract attention
(Surah Nur; Ayat 31)
And tell the believing women that they must lower their gazes and guard their private parts, and must not expose their adornment, except that which appears thereof, and must wrap their bosoms with their shawls, and must not expose their adornment, except to their husbands or their fathers or the fathers of their husbands, or to their sons or the sons of their husbands, or to their brothers or the sons of their brothers or the sons of their sisters, or to their women, or to those owned by their right hands, or male attendants having no (sexual) urge, or to the children who are not yet conscious of the shames of women. And let them not stamp their feet in a way that the adornment they conceal is known. And repent to Allah O believers, all of you, so that you may achieve success.

Many a time The Holy Prophet (PBUH) has told us about the high status of teachers in Islam.
There is a quote by Hazrat Ali (RA) which helps us in understanding the status of a teacher: “If a person teaches me one single word, he has made me his servant for a lifetime.” This shows the level of respect for teachers in Islam. Teachers are the ones who help in shaping the personality of individuals; they teach us about good and bad things in life and play a vital role in making this society a better place.

Mention 3 virtues/benefits of seeking knowledge.
1.) The path to Paradise is eased
The act of seeking knowledge through the proper means is a virtue. It entails many rewards for the seeker. In other words, one does not have to be an accomplished scholar to attain its rewards but by the sincere effort of learning. In a hadith, the Prophet s.a.w. said:
مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَطْلُبُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَلَكَ اللَّهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا مِنْ طُرُقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ لَتَضَعُ أَجْنِحَتَهَا رِضًا لِطَالِبِ الْعِلْمِ
"Whoever takes a path in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him to walk in one of the paths to Paradise. Indeed the angels will lower their wings in great pleasure with the one who seeks knowledge."(Sunan Abi Dawud)
2.) Their ranks are raised in the sight of Allah
On top of rewarding the virtuous act of seeking knowledge, Allah s.w.t. also acknowledges the bearers of knowledge. Those who have attained it are praised by Allah s.w.t. in the Quran with their ranks being raised.
"Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who were given knowledge, by many degrees. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do" (Surah Al-Mujadila, 58:11)
It is important to note that Allah s.w.t. is The One who raises and decreases the rank of a person. It is not allowed for us to look down on others and it is not up to us to think that our ranks have been raised above others just because we are on the path of learning. We are grateful for Allah’s blessings upon us. Truly, Allah is All-knowing.
3.) Allah wishes good for a person with knowledge
Although knowledge is attainable, we mustn’t delude ourselves into thinking that we are masters of our fate. Knowledge is a gift from Allah s.w.t. to those who are sincere in their pursuit and to whoever He wishes to give. In a hadith, Rasulullah s.a.w. mentioned to us how knowledge is given to a person whom Allah s.w.t. intends good:
مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ
"If Allah intends goodness for a person, He gives him the understanding of the religion" (Sahih Bukhari)
4.) The doors of other virtues are opened
One of the merits of knowledge is that it will lead to other virtues such as fear (in true awe) of Allah s.w.t. The more we attain knowledge, the more humble and virtuous a person would be. These are some of the rewards that have come into fruition from seeking knowledge. Allah s.w.t. says in the Quran:
إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ
"It is those of His servants who have knowledge who stand in true awe of Allah. Indeed Allah is almighty, most forgiving" (Surah Fatir, 35:28)

The remembrance of Allah (dhikr) & or one who has knowledge or who acquires knowledge (The teacher and the Student)
Teachers are greatly valued in Islam. Not only our Prophet (S.A.W) but his companions preached to value and obey our teachers as well. According to a hadith, everything in this world is cursed, except the one who helps in remembrance of Allah. Thus, a teacher is the person who helps us remember Allah, therefore he or she needs to be valued like we value our parents.
A good teacher is like a candle that consumes itself to light the way for others!

الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ_______________, and وَالإِيمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ___________________ And vulgarity is from callousness, and callousness is in ________________فِي النَّارِ.”
“Ḥayāʾ is from faith, and faith is in Paradise and vulgarity is from callousness, and callousness is in the Hellfire.”
(Callousness: behavior that is unkind, cruel, and without sympathy or feeling for other people)
Hence, the faithful are those who are cautious of using vulgar expressions (badhāʾah), even when factually correct, while those with callous hearts (jafāʾ) do not abstain from obscene speech. For this reason, we find that the Prophet ﷺ also said, “Ḥayāʾ and speechlessness are two branches of faith, and vulgarity and eloquence are two branches of hypocrisy.” The Prophet ﷺ was the most eloquent speaker, and praised others for being articulate, so this must mean that it is sometimes the strength of faith that disables one’s tongue from speaking insolently, and one’s diseased heart that enables one to string together lies and lewdness. (Yaqeen Institute)

That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Qur’an, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell).” 72: 16-17

Which chapter of the Qur'an starts with name of two fruits?
A. Surah Tin
B. Surah Najm
C. Surah Falaq
D. Surah Humazah
Surah Tin!
I swear by the Fig and the Olive
Surah Tin is the correct answer because it is the chapter of the Qur'an that starts with the name of two fruits. The word "tin" in Arabic means "figs", which is one of the fruits mentioned in the chapter. The chapter also mentions the olive tree, making it the only chapter in the Qur'an that starts with the names of two fruits.
Maha, a niqabi medical student, walked into the Madrasa classroom 60 minutes late. She did not inform the teacher beforehand, interrupted class, and shouted at the teacher to fill her in on the lesson being discussed. Later, when the principal asked her the reason for being late, she lied and scolded arguing she was only 10 minutes late. She threw her papers at the Muallim, and stormed away to complain about the Muallims to the other students. While discussing with students, she spoke with bad language and claimed false things about the teachers.
As a group, Discuss this scenario. Where did Maha go wrong? How could this situation been handled in a way that showed Adab/manner/respect towards the teachers. Will Allah shower his blessings on students like Maha and grant them success in their Islamic Studies?
Why is Adab towards teachers important?
Award points if answered
We can understand the highest rank of teachers from the Quote of Hazrat Ali (RA) in which He (RA) stated that: “If a person teaches me one single word, he has made me his servant for a lifetime. “
Islam lays so much stress on seeking knowledge and also on giving the respect to the ones who imparted knowledge. That’s why teachers have the highest status in Islam. In Holy Quran Almighty Allah says: “Allah elevates to high positions those from amongst you who are faithful and those who have acquired knowledge”.
(Quran, 58:11)
A teacher teaches the person so he has some rights mentioned below:
In short, we should know respect and become closer to the teacher who is willing to give us education and knowledge. Always respect your teacher.

What are the three levels of Hayaa'?
Spiritual Hayaa': Modesty before Allah. When one experiences an urge to do something Allah dislikes and obeys Allah instead, avoiding anything that displeases him.
Social Hayaa': Modesty before people. When one treats others fairly, does not harm them and treats them with respect.
Personal Hayaa':
Modesty with oneself. When one respects himself and avoids all shameful and wrong acts and habits, even if they are not haram.

A path to Paradise
This is restricted to religious knowledge.
There are two kinds of ‘treading a path to knowledge’:
1) طريق حسي – Sensual Path
Physically treading a path in order to seek knowledge. It could be by travelling from one country to another, like the companions did. If you do this, Allah will make the path to Paradise easy for you.
Intellectual path
The person doesn’t move with his feet, rather he treads this path through books. He may not even leave his room, yet he is considered a person treading a path in search of knowledge. He doesn’t move by feet, but by effort.
The more effort you put, the easier Allah will make it for you to reach Paradise.
This is an important intention to have.
The most noble of all actions is spending your time and effort worshipping and serving Allah and the most noble utterances are when you remember and praise Allah.
If you spend your time and life learning about Allah, then you will get the noblest reward with Allah on the Day of Judgement. Understand the value of the knowledge you are seeking. Allah loves to be praised by His names and attributes.

According to the Prophet (pbuh), There are three types of Jinns?
