What is a first degree burn?

A minor burn or sunburn.

Use a flamethrower to burn it off!!! (No, really you just use tweezers to pull it out.)

Don't pop it. Put mole skin on top of it.

Hold injured area under cold water, but not ice. You can also use aloe vera.

How would you treat an animal bite?

Wash the wound with soap and water. Control bleeding with a bandage.

What causes hypothermia?

Caused when a person's body is losing more heat than it can produce, which causes their core temperature to drop.

What is a closed fracture. What is an open fracture. 

A closed fracture is when you break your bone and it stays in your skin. An open fracture breaks through your skin, creating an open wound.

How do you stop a nosebleed? What shouldn't you do?

lean forward and pinch the nose right beneath the bone. You should not lean your head back.

When the burn damages the skin and tissue beneath it. Skin might be blackened.

Grab it by the head with tweezers and pull it out gently.

Call 911. Do not apply ointments.

How would you remove a fish hook from your skin?

tie a string around the bend of the hook. Push the hook slightly so the barb isn't grabbing the skin. Quickly pull the string to free the hook.

How would you treat heatstroke. 

Call medical assistance, then move the victim to an air conditioned or shady area. If they can drink, give them cool water. Regularly check the victim's conditon.

Call for help, check for breathing, raise their feet to help blood flow.

How would you treat a second degree burn?

Place the injured area in cool water or apply wet cloth. Don't use creams or ointments. Also try not to break any blisters.

What is an important first step when bit by a snake?

Identify the snake and the time it bit you. This is especially important if it is venomous.

When and where should you move an injured person?

Only in critical situations and as far as nececary. Try not to move people in shock, having a heart attack, frostbte, Bone injuries, and especially Head, neck or spinal injuries.

What do you do if someone is choking?

Preform the heimlich maneuver. If they are not breathing after they cough up what they were choking on, preform CPR.
