Explain head-to-toe examination and what part of the assessment is it. List at least 6 things to look for.
What is secondary; throughout check of head to toe because not all injuries are apparent. Start wth head, slide hands across surfaces, use your senses, ask permission, indicate what you are doing. Look for: bumps, bruises, blood, deformities, ability to move, temperature differences, med bracelets, reduced or cut off circulation areas, distal circulation, distal sensation.
