She is Dr. Nemur's wife. Burt says that she is super pushy and is the reason Dr. Nemur is so desperate for fame.
Norma was a brat who hated Charlie because of their mom, Rose. She forced her to be perfect while acting like Charlie was a freak. The constant pressure at home made her treat him like garbage.

Charlie stole him because he was sick of being a "show" at the convention. After seeing Nemur treat him like an object and seeing Algernon get stressed, he just had to bail.

Charlie is mad because Dr. Nemur acts like Charlie wasn't even a human before the operation. To Nemur, Charlie was nothing until the doctors made him smart.

He stops looking up to them. He realizes that he is way smarter than they are and hates how they treat him like a lat rab instead of a person.
