You see on his patient record that he has developmental defects of the bile ducts and begin the ultrasound. As you’re sweeping through the liver you notice a cyst in the RT lobe of the liver measuring at 5.5 cm.

This focal disease is associated with immunocompromised patients, like HIV.

Portal Tracts/Veins
This is the most common parasitic infection that can cause opportunistic infections in patients who have AIDS. It affects patients undergoing bone marrow and organ transplantation.
What is Pneumocystis Carinii?
Cousin Susy has been feeling feverish, weak, and experiencing pleurisy (pain when breathing). She was told that she had an elevated WBC and abnormal LFT. Susy went for an abdominal ultrasound and the sonographer visualized a couple of cystic lesions with complex debris in the RT lobe of the liver.
