Is to ensure the physical and emotional safety and well-being of youth in care. This approach aims to minimize triggers and re-traumatization, promoting an environment sensitive to the individual needs and triggers of the youth we serve while recognizing the potential impact of past trauma. Additionally, it guides communication protocols and creates a supportive and healing environment where youth can adapt to the shelter while minimizing further trauma.

Outings: One (1) on-duty staff for every six (6) children ages five (5) years to seventeen (17) years old. Ratio of 1:6.
