How do I edit my link?
On your dashboard, you'll see the option to 'edit your link!' From there, you can customize your Petition link!
I paid for a promotion. Why are there are many views but not many more signatures?
So promotions guarantee views, but unfortunately not signatures. It often times takes someone 3-4 times seeing a petition before signing it, so don't be discouraged! We can figure out how to get your petition to communities that will sign.
Are you going to send my petition to decision maker for me?
When you add your decision maker to your petition, they will get an automated message with a link to your petition! However, because it is automated we still recommend you email them personally so that way they know theres a person behind the petition!
How does my petition work?
Petitions can hold the power to create change by collecting a large number of signatures. Each signature represents a citizen who wants to see that change happen, and petition starters like yourself take those signatures to your decision makers and push for that change to be made.
How to close my petition?
Use your dashboard to do so! Scroll to the bottom and under 'Manage Petition' - you'll see 'Close Petition.' Click that and your petition will be closed so people can no longer sign!
Why do I have so many more views than signs?
Great question and this is totally normal! Not everyone who views your petition will sign it. People get distracted or might wanna come back to it later. This is why sharing often is key to increase your signature count. So make sure you are continuing to share frequently and to people who are likely to sign!
How can I get a refund

When should I contact my decision maker?
I would recommend to contact them through their social media, with DMs, replies to their posts etc. You should also call or email your decision makers with updates on your petition, when you hit your signature counts, and schedule a time to talk about what you want! Don't be afraid to follow up multiple times even if you don't hear a response.
What happens after I get 100 signatures?
This number adjusts automatically! The goal will adjust and go up as you hit it! So once you get to 100, it goes up to 250, then 500, and so on.
How do I delete my petition?
To have your petition deleted, please reach out to help@change.org and let them know you'd like your petition removed. Please be sure to include the link to your petition, your Change accout email, and name. They may ask further information to confirm you are the starter before deleting.
How do I download my supporter/comment list?
"Let me walk you through it! 1. Log out and log back in to your change.org account 2. Go to your dashboard and look for “full Supporter List” 3. Click “Get List,” and your signatures will be on the way to your email! "
Is there a way to stop promotions from showing up on my petition? I don't want people feeling like they have to pay.
You can request the promotion feature to be disabled on your petition. To do so, you can contact help@change.org and they'll take care of it!
How do i contact my DM if i dont know their email or contact?

Can I target signatures to my local area?
There is no way to target signatures, but feel free to put in the content of your petition that you are looking for signatures from X zip codes only!
How do I delete comments?
Right next to the comment you want deleted there is a little trashcan. Select that and your comment will be deleted!
Can I limit my petition to local only?
There is no way to prevent people outside a certain zip code from signing a petition, but you can edit your content to ask people only within a certain area to sign the petition but thank everyone for their support!
Do promotions target certain groups or is it random?
Promotions target based on people who have signed petitions similar to you, either based on topic or location.
How do I decide who my decision is?

When will my petition be allowed in the featured recommendations?
Great question! Featured petitions are based on an alogortihm - uncovering what is trending, in the media, etc. What we can do though, is continue to think of new ways to share and grow your signature count!
How do i print the petiton?
To print the petition, copy and paste the petition page into a word document and format it the way you would like it, you can also download a PDF of your signatures to go along with that!
How can I add people as admin?
Right now, we don't actually have the ability to add people to a petition as an admin. With that said, you can do a couple things! 1) Create a joint account and allow access to all those who will be involved or 2) Share your login information with those who are helping you.
When I pay for promotions does it get shown to the same people or different people?
The promotion will run on a variety of people's pages, whether they have signed a similar petition or they are interested in the topic. The petition will continued to be showed to some of the same people, up until signing. Once someone signs, the petition will not be shown to them anymore. Does that make sense?
What is the "petition letter." what is that for?
This is a feature that was meant to be language directed more at your decisionmaker and sent to them upon creation if an email was provided for your DM.
When do I send an update?
"As a best practice, it is best to send an update every 2-3 days - whether or not there has been a change in your campaign (ie if you had a decision maker reach out, communicate that, but regardless - you should send out notes to your supporters on this cadence)
Why doesnt my petition show up in your search feature even when I put in keywords?
Our search engine is not as sophisticated as Google. I would recommend making a custom url through your dashboard that makes it easy for you tell people where to find your petition.
