What is the mission of Friendship house?
A 30 (or 45 for returning clients) long period where clients may not send or receive letters or make phone calls outside of for legal, financial, or housing issues.

What is the Client Bill of Rights?
Happens twice daily, at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Examples of topics include Big Book Study, STIs, Adult Daily Living, Talking Circle, Client Policy, Early Recovery, Walking in Balance, Community Circle, and H&I. These are MANDATORY.
What is group?
Love, tolerance, acceptance, respect (for ourselves, others, families, youth, elders, diversity, and harmony), focusing on strengths rather than weaknesses, spirituality, traditions, and culture
What are the values of Friendship House?
An alcoholic who has made some progress in the recovery program shares that experience on a continuous, individual basis with another alcoholic who is attempting to attain or maintain sobriety through A.A. You need to have one of these before advancing to Level 2.
What is a sponsor?
"Any person found to be using or in possession of any alcohol or product containing alcohol... or any... drug prohibited for use or possession by federal or state laws, shall be... referred to an appropriate detoxification facility... consuming any medication except when given by program personnel, is grounds for dismissal from the Friendship House."
What is Substance Abuse Policy?
You can apply for one of these when you're in Level 2. They allow you to leave the premises for a day or a weekend.
Information can be shared between counseling staff, in the case of suspected child or elder abuse, for a medical emergency, if you are a danger to yourself or others, or if you are subpoenaed.
