During a math lesson you blurt out "This is so easy!", but there is a classmate that is having a very hard time understanding the lesson. How would this classmate feel?

Your classmate may feel bad and they may feel like they are not smart enough because they do not understand something that you say is "easy."

You are sitting at the carpet, but someone behind you keeps kicking you while you're trying to listen to the teacher. What do you do? What do you do if they do not stop when you ask them to?

Ask them kindly to "please stop, I do not like being kicked" if they do not listen, find a new place on the carpet to sit.

Your teacher asks you to get into partners of four. You found three of your friends to create a group with, but you see one student that you don't know very well all alone with no partner. What do you do?

Ask that person to be a part of your group. Introduce them to your friends if they do not already know each other.

Your teacher is very busy helping other students during math work time, but you see that someone beside you is stuck on a question that you know how to do. What do you do?

Explain to your neighbour how to do the question. DO not just simply give them to answer. Help them learn too :)

It is morning meeting and you are excited to share your birthday plans. You start to list off who from the class is invited and a student says "Am I invited?" and you say "EW NOT YOU"

How would this student feel? What could you do instead?

This student would feel like you do not like them.

Instead, save "who you are inviting" for when you pass out invitations.

If someone asks why they are not invited be honest and tell them you have a limit to how many you can invite.

You are on free-time and there is one more spot to play with animals. You ask to play with the animals too, but the other people say "No I'm saving a spot for my friend who is not done their work" What do you respond with?

"I understand you would like to play with them, but we cannot save spots. I am done my work and I would like to play with you. Maybe someone can switch out for your friend when they are ready."

We are doing an art project in class that involves coloring. There is only one more yellow marker and both you and the person next to you at your table need to use it. What do you do?

Suggest to the person next to you to share it with each other.

"When you're done using it, may I please use it?"

"Can we take turns using it?"

When playing soccer outside, you kick the ball and it accidently hits someone in the eye and they get hurt. What do you do?

Go up to them immediately and apologize and state it was an accident. Stay with the person who is hurt and call for a trusted adult to come check on them.

You are working on a group project with someone who has a different style of art than you. They start to draw something for the project that they are proud of, and you say: "NO!!! You're ruining it! Just let me do it!"

How would they feel?

They would feel bad that you do not like their drawing, they will also feel upset that you are not allowing them to contribute to the group project.

300

When working on an art project, your classmate keeps say "6-7!" and giggling. But it has gotten on your last nerve. What do you do?

It bothers me when you keep saying "6-7" as I am trying to work. Can you please stop?

If they do not stop after this, let your teacher know.

We are having a movement break and you notice someone in class does not want to dance because they think its "embarrassing."

What do you do?

Remind them how to do the job. Offer to help when your job is done.

During morning meeting its your classmate's turn to speak, but instead of listening, you are chatting to the person next to you.

How would your classmate feel?

Someone repeatedly picks on you at lunch. They hurt you with their words and are sometimes even hands-on with you. You ask them to stop but they don't. What do you do?

Tell a trusted adult (parent, teacher, supervisor, principal).

Its time for a lesson at the carpet and you are sitting in a chair (You got to sit in one yesterday), and you hear a classmate say "I haven't gotten a chair all week!"

During morning meeting, you find out that one of your classmates likes K-Pop Demon Hunter as much as you. You show that you connect through signing with you hands.

What can you do next to develop a friendship?

At recess or lunch, talk to your classmate about the movie and their favourite parts of the movie.

Try to find even more things you have in common.

You are hanging out with your friends and a classmate that you don't get along with and don't like to play with starts trying to play with you and your friend group. You gather the rest of your friends and say "Lets get away from them, I don't like them" and you all run away from the classmate.

How would this classmate feel?

What should you do instead?

This classmate would feel like something is wrong with them or that no one likes them.

Instead, if you do not want to play with someone you should find someone else to play with without making everyone leave the classmate.

You never have to be best friends with everyone, but you cannot tell others who they can or cannot hangout with.

500

You are waiting in line to go on the slide and someone pushes you out of the way super hard and you fall on your bum. It hurt a lot and they did not say sorry and continued on with what they were doing. What do you do?

Talk to the closest trusted adult and let them help you. No one is allowed to intentionally hurt you or be hands on.

500

You are walking around with your friends outside and you notice that one friend is always left behind or is being left out.

What should you do?

Take time to connect with that friend. Be the one to wait for them when others don't. Remind your other friends to include everyone in the group.
