How do you check in a member from a different YMCA? How many times can a different YMCA member use our YMCA?

Switch to the Nationwide login window on the check in computer (or login to your own account on your own computer) and have them scan on that website. Check them in there and then either add their names to our guest tracking sheet (in alphabetical order) and write down the date and what Y they are from. They can come 5 times per month.

Practical Challenge:

"Hi, I want to sign up for a membership and I work at Avita." 

We have a special Avita payroll deduction sheet for them to fill out along with their membership application. Any discount/deduction group can be found in the front desk binder or on the membership type groups when you click add new unit in daxko. You may also have to select "add discount group" in daxko once you are at the screen where you add their billing method.

Where can the pool schedule be found?

Google Calendar, Facebook, Front desk binder, printed out on the stand next to the front desk. (you can also find pool rules in the front desk binder)

What are green wristbands for?

Lets lifeguards know that the kid has passed their deep end swim test. If a kid passes a swim test we put a note on Daxko on their account. You can find green wristbands in the front desk top drawer.

If there is an emergency on the pool deck what will you hear and what should you do?

The bell behind the front desk will go off and you grab the big yellow crash bag and get down to the pool as fast as you can. Follow all emergency protocols (red binder at desk)

"Hi, I would like to learn more about becoming a lifeguard and getting my life guard certification. How would I do that?"

Give them a lifeguard class packet (found in bottom drawer of front desk filing cabinet) and register them in Daxko (we can sign people up for sessions in Tiffin or Bucyrus, so be mindful of what branch you are selecting).

Uh oh! All the lifeguards are gone for the day and when you go downstairs to close you notice the sauna light is on. What do you do?

Put a little dawn dish soap in the bottom of the bottle then fill with vinegar and gently shake. Dawn and vinegar can be found downstairs in the mop closet.

How do you do a shift close-out?

Click on the finance tab in Daxko, click shift close-outs, click new close-out, tab over to cash or check depending on what you received, select things receipted by you, hit close out and then print out the close out sheet and put into a yellow folder (top drawer front desk filing cabinet). Scratch out previous name on folder and put your name and the date on it. Make sure the EXACT AMMOUNT on the close out receipt is in the folder and then put it in the black drop box in the back office.

We don't do day passes anymore (haven't since Covid) you have to be a member to use the pool.

Someone wants to get 24/7 facility access. What do you do?

Give them the waiver to sign. Register them in Daxko and charge them. Add them as a user on the atlas website. Make sure you select door access and access levels so they can get in. If they want a pin number to get in, put their 4 digit pin in the pin box on the website. If they want the app the QR code is at the front desk. Make sure you hit save on atlas before closing the window.
