You do not do a paid out when you give a guest change.

To confirm that there is that room type for the guest's given dates.

The rate is not being split at all. One share needs the appropriate rate code and the other should have a zero value rate code.

What does it mean when the folio has "itinerary" on it?

When a guest is paying for the room in cash what do we do with the charge cards?
Disable the charge cards so the guest cannot charge back to the room.
When booking a suite what do you need to look at?
You must check each room component for the suite. If one component is not available, than the suite is not available.
Why is it important to have the correct number of people in each share?
Since rates may calculate based on the number of people (adults, children, and others), the total number of people amongst all of the shares must be accurate.
