Pomegranate
This root vegetable is the main ingredient in a Russian, Polish, Ukrainian soup known as Borscht. It grows in the ground, brown on the outside because of the mud, bright pink on the inside the dyes everything it touches. Dwight from "The Office" grows these on his farm.
Beets
This vegetable was once worshipped by Egyptians. The rings inside represented the circle of life. Apparently the number of layers meant how many special powers one would get if they ate it!

This Asian fruit is one of the smelliest thing in the world and smells of rotten eggs, sweaty socks or even garbage.
