None of them. A Scientific calculator is sufficient for all calculator items.

What would a student be asked to do on a Table Item?
Table items require the student to type numeric values into a given table. The student may complete the entire table or portions of the table depending on the question that is being asked.

What is the difference between Multiple Choice and Multi-Select?
Multiple choice items require the student to select a single answer option. They will consist of a context, a question, a single correct answer and three plausible distractors. Multi-select items allow the student to select more than one answer option. Multi-select items consist of a context, a question, two or more correct answers and several plausible distractors.

How do you know which standards will have a calculator available?
Calculator designations are on the Test Specifications. Yes means it will be available for the standard. No means it will not be available for items written to the standard. Neutral means the the item will be reviewed by a committee of educators to determine if the educators feel the item requires the use of a calculator. It may or may not allow the use of the calculator.

Describe the difference between Matching Items and Multi-Select.
Matching items require the student to check a box to indicate if information from a column header matches information from a row.

Currently four tests are available for 3-HS.

What is the minimum amount of correct answers on a Multi-Select?
Two correct answers. Some items may ask the student to select a specific number of responses, while other items may ask the student to select all correct responses.

Will all students be provided a reference sheet?
There is no reference sheet. Conversions will be provided in a pop-up window for the grades 5 - 12 CBT.

What is the difference between a Grid Item and a Hot Item?
Grid items require the student to use the point, line, and/or arrow buttons to create a response on a grid. Hot text items require the student to either click on a response option or drag a response option to another location.

Explain who gets to use what calculator and when.
Hand held scientific calculators are permitted for ALL students taking the FSA Mathematics assessment (Grade 7, Grade 8, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2) on Day 2.

Besides numbers, list five features included on the Equation Response items.
1. The response may be a number, an expression, or an equation. 2. Items consist of a context, a question and a response area. 3. Equivalent fractions and decimals will be accepted except in items that are assessing a standard where a certain form is the expectation of the standard. 4. A zero in the ones place for answers that fall between -1 and 1 (excluding 0 itself) is not required. 5. Students can type in an answer using a mixed number or a fraction greater than one.

Who gets extended time?
6-8 Only those with IEPs that say extended time. FSA EOCs every student gets 1/2 a school day. Those with IEPs w/ extended time will get additional time if needed.

Can you get partial credit on a Multi-Select item?
Multi-select items are worth one point. A student must select all correct answers to receive credit for the item. No partial credit is given.

When can students on an IEP use a calculator?
When ALL students are allowed. No calculator accommodations will be made.
