Two of my favorite books are "Harry Potter" and "The Bad Beginning." Both stories have terrible and evil villains. However, Harry Potter is different because the characters are able to use magic to solve the main problem.

Words that describe who a character is on the INSIDE.
Define perspective
How a speaker sees a situation, event, or the world. (Remember, spect means SEE)

What is the difference between tone and mood?
Tone is how the author presents a subject (author centered) and mood is how the reader interprets the overall feeling of a text (reader-centered).

Ms. Waters was sick of her students forgetting to charge their Chromebooks every night. So she decided to have a "Chromebook check" every morning to see who remembered to charge their Chromebook. Now, her students remember to charge them (almost) every night!
