What is armoring?
A natural process that may occur during a massage session in which a client relaxes his or her defenses and experiences emotions such as sadness, happiness, or other emotions.
What is an emotional release?
A summary of a person’s background, experience, education, training, and skills used by employers to determine if you have the experience necessary to fill an open position.
What is a resume?

What is an independent contractor?
The use of a sheet, towel, blanket, or combination of these to cover any body regions that are not being massaged. Establishes professional boundaries, preserves the modesty of both the client and practitioner, and ensures the client stays warm during the session.
What is draping?
The order in which strokes are applied to a given body area, and the order in which body areas are massaged.
What is sequencing?
The subjective sensation of having and moving within a physical body.
What is embodiment?
The recognition that the body and mind mirror each other and are intimately connected.
What is the body-mind connection?
