This response action may be used when it is necessary for staff, children, and visitors to enter the building quickly in order to avoid a dangerous or potentially dangerous situation outside the building such as a wild animal, smoke, severe weather, hazardous material, etc. After an announcement is made with dangerous or harmful things outside.

Turn off all fans
Wait for further instructions from Director/Assistant Director

Which emergency response do we use if there is something suspicious outside (like a bomb)? And what do we do?
Bomb Threat (SCAN):
This response action is activated when it is necessary for staff to look around their area for any item which doesn’t belong there. Any bomb threat should be taken seriously and treated as a real situation until proven otherwise. Scan will be activated primarily in the case of a Bomb Threat, but could be utilized for any situation that required the staff to look for an item which may cause harm.
If something is suspicious outside or in the building, please let Administration know IMMEDIATELY!
Administration will then SCAN the area and property and let the authorities know.
Teachers and children should do a Reverse Evacuation and remain inside until further instructions from the Director/Assistant Director.
