Close drapes to rooms, encourage residents to stay in room, doors closed.
What do we do with new items being brought into facility for residents?
The item needs inventoried, hall aide is responsible for same, and taken to laundry if clothing that needs labeled. If hall aide is unable to then we need to communicate to our nurse to deligate.
If staff sees a wet spot on the ground, what do we do?
Grab a mop and wet floor sign and clean it up- ANY STAFF- to prevent a fall from happening.

Med rooms and are labeled and have a system to lay out extension cords for Halls 1-2-3.
Where do we NOT have residents go during a tornado?
The hallways- we DO NOT line residents up in the hallways during Tornados- as our halls become wind tunnels.
How to clean up glass?
Sweep glass into a paper sack, then into the trash can. Paper bads are located with broom and dustpan in the West fill room.

Go to door alarm, evaluate who went out or in, walkie staff if resident is out, walkie staff if resident exit seeking to leave, THEN reset alarm.
2 verizon phones at each nurses station can be used as hot spots.
Dementia resident wants to leave to go see their mother, how do we approach?
Jane, lets go do a puzzle, Jane, its hot outside, lets wait for them to come to us. Do not say 'they are dead' and walk away. Join the resident as best as we can in the delusional thoughts to keep them calm, within reason.
Where is the eye wash station located?
Hall 4 hopper room, Eye wear/goggles are located in each hoppwer room with a gown to protect you when rinsing out items in the hopper rooms.
