This genre is organized by the authors last name.
Fiction
A type of fantasy that blends futuristic technology with science fact, and fiction (time travel, robots, etc).
Science Fiction
Verse written to create a response from the reader. Often incorporating elements such as rhythm, rhyme, and figurative language.
Poetry
A building or room containing collections of books for people to borrow.
Library
Typically the first page in a book, tells who the author and illustrator are along with the title of the book.
Title Page
A particular style of literature such as fantasy, poetry, mystery, etc.
Genre
A story using made up characters and sometimes setting but could happen in real life.
Realistic Fiction
Stories that are passed down from one group to another in history. This includes fairy tales, fables, myths, legends, and tall tales from different cultures.
Traditional Literature
The person who writes the words in a book.
Author
A list of titles (chapters) of the parts of a book organized in the order in which they will appear.
Table of Contents
A collection of articles, stories, pictures, or other features published at regular intervals.
Magazines
A fictional story with real or imagined characters that takes place during a real historical time period.
Historical Fiction
The story of a real person's life, written by another person.
Biography
A tool used to save the place of a book when you take it off the shelf to see if it's the right book for you.
