Amelia was a sweet girl, but she was scared of her neighbor, a girl named Samia, who she thought was ugly. She thought her neighbor was mean and cruel, because she could hear the neighbor's dog whining in pain all day. One day, she had enough, and yelled at Samia. Samia was sad at first, but she decided to show Amelia her dog. Samia's dog had the best living situation - a cozy dog bed, so many toys, and delicious food. However, Samia's dog was sick, and he was an old dog, and Samia would spend all day taking care of her dog and giving him medicine. Even though the dog had medicine, he usually whined anyway. Amelia felt so bad, she judged her neighbor when her neighbor was doing a good deed. Amelia decided to never judge anyone ever again, until she saw their character.

But they looked like lights, instead of pupils. It shifted its gaze to her. She gasped and turned back around, shutting her eyes tightly. It's a robot... she thought. That was insane to her! Before she could fully open her eyes again, those bright red lights blared into her face as she screeched.

I was born during the Civil Rights movement. My parents wanted to name me Malcolm to honor Malcolm X, and so they did. Even as a kid, I noticed how I was treated unfairly - because of my skin color, I was different, at times I even felt like I was less. But the support of my parents and the words of speakers like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X helped me push myself. When Malcolm X and MLK were assasinated, I promised myself I would achieve as much as I could, regardless of how the world treated me. Now, I'm an award-winning doctor, and instead of working for a white doctor, I own a hospital and run it myself. I help my people, as we only move forward by pulling each other up first, and that's an ideology I bring to my hospital, including its patients, doctors, nurses, volunteers, and everything in between.
