The spread of an idea! The 5 types of diffusion are hierarchal diffusion, stimulus diffusion, expansion diffusion, contagious diffusion, and relocation diffusion! Hierarchal diffusion is where an idea spreads from a person in higher power or authority to other people who aren't in a higher power position. Stimulus diffusion is where trends spread from place to place, but as they are spread, the idea is slightly altered and changed to adapt to that culture.
