Movement

is the condition of the air and sky at a certain time and place

is a group of people who have the power to make and enforce laws for a country or area.
Culture
is the beliefs, customs, practices, and behaviors of a particular nation or group of people.
Region
An area with at least one unifying physical or human feature such as climate, landforms, culture, or history.
Human-Environment Interaction
How people affect their environment, or their natural surroundings, and how their environment affects them.
Climate
is the average weather of a place over many years.
Constitution
is a set of basic rules and principles for organizing and running a government.
Society
is a group of people with a shared culture who have organized themselves to meet their basic needs.
Place
The mix of human and nonhuman features at a given location
Political Map
show political units, such as countries or states. They may also show capitals of countries, or the centers of their government, and other major cities.
Water Cycle
is the movement of water from Earth’s surface into the atmosphere and back again.
Democracy
is a form of government in which citizens hold political power.
Social Structure
is a pattern of organized relationships among groups of people within a society.

Absolute Location & Relative Location
Physical Map
shows the physical, or natural, features of a place. One feature that physical maps often include is elevation, or height above sea level.
Tropical Cyclone
is an intense rainstorm with strong winds that forms over oceans in the tropics.
Authoritarian government
is one in which all power is held by a single person or a small group. Autocracies and oligarchies in the past were often authoritarian.
Standard of living
is the level of comfort enjoyed by a person or a society.
