Are you more of a morning person or a night person and why?

Definitely a night person, but I am trying to change that and become a morning person so I can get up early before work and fit running into my regular routine.

I'd love to visit Iceland and check out the many volcanoes, waterfalls, and hikes.

200

What is something you wish you could change in today's world?

There is too much negativity, disrespect, and not enough common courtesy. I wish we would look out for one another more, instead of constantly competing against each other. Life is too short to be unhappy!

What are some little things that bring happiness into your everyday life?

My wife, Marissa, and dogs (Jasper - Border Collie Lab mix, and Charlie - Bernese Mountain Maremma sheep dog mix) bring me great joy.

If you were any superhero, who would you be, and why?

The Flash (because I love to run)

What is something you’re most knowledgeable about?

I know quite a bit about travel booking. In another life, I would be a travel agent, so I could always be exploring the world and call it 'work'.

300

What do you do for a typical night out with your friends or family?

Wing night (Thursday), twilight golf (less $), or going to the movies (mostly for the popcorn)

300

What is your most random, silly childhood memory?

I once ate ten slices of chocolate cake at my grandma's house and then threw up in my parents car on the way home. My parents were not pleased!

Leaving my car keys at random spots around my house.

I don't give up easily, and am an eternal optimist. As a teacher this means, I am very committed to helping my students succeed in and out of school.

500

What’s a compliment someone gave you that you still think about?

That I have a big heart.

500

Five years ago, what was your favorite band?

Coldplay, or probably several EDM groups (Tiesto, Alesso, Hardwell, SHM, Deadmau5)

500

What’s something you want to do in the next few years that you’ve never done?

Run an ultramarathon. I ran the Vancouver marathon this past May and finished in the top 15% with a time of 3 hrs 15 minutes and 20 seconds. I nearly passed out at the finished line, and was overwhelmed with fatigued, yet bursting with pride. I trained for 6 months prior and ran 1280 kms around Courtney and Comox averaging 50-75 km per week while teaching.

500

Do you collect anything, or did you ever?

Memories. I like to make albums of travel memories and adventures I've undertaking with my family, and friends. I think life is all about experiences, and the world is a very big place.
