Communication is a life-long skill that is very important to practice. Whether you are in a workplace, or talking with your friends, communication is going to always going to be in your life, and should be a skill that you always practice.

West has many clubs that vary to everyone's interests! A student can create a club by having an idea, 3 friends, and a teacher sponsor.

In the long run, asking for help can help students practice their communication skills which is common in real life. This can also benefit students by allowing your teacher to learn about your learning style which can help your teachers provide the best resources possible.

Why did we take AVID for 3 years?

AVID is an elective that we both found effective in our middle school life. Whether it helped with study skills, or communication, we both learned a lot, and are looking forward to learning more useful skills for middle school!

What was the transition like between each grade?

From going to 6th grade to 7th grade, It was very strange to go right into work, whereas in 6th grade we eased into the new learning enviornment. To 7th to 8th grade the transition was very similar, but we were both more used to how West functions and is organized.
