Students have the option of receiving units for their involvement in research. SE199 is graded, and SE198 is for P/NP. SE199 can be petitioned for upper division major classes. Research is rarely paid.

SE Honors is a thesis program where you would create your own project and work with a faculty mentor. Requirements are shown on the website.
