What is a non-Newtonian fluid?

A non-Newtonian fluid is a fluid that does not follow Newton's law of viscosity.

200

When mixing all materials what is this process called?

This process is called a non-newtonian fluid.

How many methods are there when making fake snow?

There are at least 3 methods to making fake snow.

Who is Isaac Newton ? Why is he important?

Far more than just discovering the laws of gravity, Sir Isaac Newton was also responsible for working out many of the principles of visible light and the laws of motion, and contributing to calculus

300

what are the three states of matter ?

solid, liquid, gas

What happened when you squeeze the ghost guts?

What happened when you release the pressure?

When you squeeze the ghost guts they solidify. (They became a solid)

When you release the pressure your ghost guts would liquify. (They became a liquid)

300

How did it feel when mixing the materials together ? What do you think cause it to feel that way? Was is the baking soda or the hair conditioner?

It felt cold.  The texture of this snow is a little less crumbly and powdery when using the conditioner. The hair conditioner made it colder.

What is the documentary Science Fair about?

Filmmakers follow nine high school students from around the globe as they compete at an international science fair. Facing off against 1,700 of the smartest teens from 78 countries, only one will be named Best in Fair.

what are some examples of non newtonian fluids?

Examples of such fluids are blood, quicksand and certain components of cement. Many lubricants, ketchup, certain forms of dough and pudding also have this property.

Based on the materials we used in class what do you think are the other two materials we could use to make fake snow?

1. Method: How to Make Snow With Baking Soda and Water

2nd Method: How to Make Snow With Baking Soda and Conditioner

3rd Method: How to Make Snow With Baking Soda and Shaving Cream
