What is Summer Squad?
An AWESOME 6 week summer leadership program for teens ages 14-18

How many spots are available for summer camp participants and what are the age ranges?
120 girls, ages 7-13

How do I sign my daughter up for Summer Camp OR Summer Squad?
1) Complete the Summer Programs Registration Form! 2) Teens need to sign up through the After School Matters website. For now contact Coach Margaret- mmiles@girlsinthegame.org

How much does summer camp cost? *2 part answer
1)$1000 2) We have a sliding scale that is based on household size and annual income, so families pay different amounts.

How much extra is overnight camp?
None! It is included in the Camp/ Squad cost!

When and where will Summer Squad be held?
-Monday- Thursday from July 6th- August 13th -9AM-3PM -Location to be determined, but somewhere within walking distance of Union Park.

What does the cost for camp include (several different thnigs)?
Besides our amazing programming, it includes lunch, a GIG t-shirt, Summer Camp yearbook, all off-site trips and the overnight trip!

Where and when do the girls go for overnight?
Camp Kupugani in Leaf River, IL from August 3- 5

Is transportation available?
Yes, they can join the Summer Camp buses coming from the Northside, Westside and Southside. First come first serve!

What are some of the field trips the girls go on?
-Chicago Bulls/ White Sox Training Academy -Shedd Aquarium -Lincoln Park Zoo -Mystic Waters Water Park

What will the teens be doing?
Each week has a different theme. Each week they will participate in activities related to that theme and also go on a Leader to Leader Interview, lead a workshop for younger girls, and go on a college visit.

Yes! There will be an open house in June!

What will the girls do during the overnight trip?
Go swimming, rock climbing, hike, and many sports and leadership activities!

FREE!!! Teens are paid through the After School Matters Program, and will earn $420 by the end of the summer.
