What do you do when a customer is returning something and the credit card is no longer valid?

  • If the customer has a receipt but the original credit card is no longer available, a gift card should be offered for the original price paid. A credit or refund to an alternative card is prohibited.
  • If a customer has a receipt but it is more than 30 days from the purchase date, a leader can override the return/exchange for damage/defective merchandise, product recalls, or the Old Navy Uniform Guarantee.
