Project leadership attends HS&E meetings every Sunday and present. They also attend Toolbox meetings.

Does your supervisor review the FLHA cards throughout the shift? And how often? Do you receive feedback on your FLHA's?
Supervisors review FLHA cards throughout the day and signoff. Feedback could be updating the task, missing areas or hazards, and better controls.
Do you know where to find SWPs and job procedures? How do you access them?
They are printed and available to read in the white binders in the lunchroom or we can ask our supervisor to print them off.
What Personal Protective Equipment is required for your job?
Boots (6"), glasses, gloves, hard hat, and vest. All need to be CSA approved.
Are you aware of Ledcor’s progressive discipline policy? What steps are followed?
If there is a minor infraction, an infraction that does not have the potential to cause significant damage or serious injury, the following disciplinary action may be taken:
How would you respond to being assigned to an unsafe task? What if one of your coworkers is assigned to an unsafe task? How do you think supervision would react?
Worker has the right and an obligation to refuse unsafe work.
Worker responsibility to intervene and stop unsafe work.
Supervisor should re-evaluate JHAs and reassess hazards and controls.

Where is the Environmental Management Plan stored?
The Environmental Management Plan is stored online and with HS&E.
What training have you received on your responsibilities for working in environmentally sensitive areas? What are the reporting requirements for environmental incidents? What procedures would you follow if there was an environmental emergency?
There are no environmentally sensitive areas where we are currently working. Supervisor will notify us if we enter an environmentally sensitive area.
Did you receive training on health/hygiene hazards? Do you understand your responsibilities associated with these health and hygiene hazards?
Silica dust was reviewed in orientation. If there is exposure to silica dust, workers are to wear respiratory protection.
If working with controlled products, workers must review the safety data sheet (SDS).
How would you access an SDS?
If the SDS is not already on the worksite, ask supervisor for a copy.
Do you know Ledcor's policy on Drugs and Alcohol? Explain some of the expectations.
Workers are responsible to report to work fit for duty.
There is no use, possession, sale, or distribution of illicit drugs or alcohol on site.

New and young employees need guidance and as a mentor, the role is to teach them the proper and safe way of doing an activity.

During onboarding, we had to take training like:

Red tag it out and return it to the tool crib so it can be repaired or destroyed.
If you get injured or you are involved in an incident - what is your responsibility with regards to reporting?
Report incidents, injuries, and near misses to supervision right away. Sometimes, workers participate in the incident investigation.
Determine a recent changed to the HS&E process. What is your knowledge and understanding of these recent changes? How are changes communicated?
Operating a equipment or an LDV on site is different because we have to drive on the left side of the road and use wheel chocks instead of mirror bands.
