10 Mins before: Dressed on the pool deck, prepared for the shift, attend pre-shift meeting, and set up.
15 Mins after: Cleanup pool/pool deck, attend post-shift, and update skill tree for present students.
How often should a new student be coming off the bench?
30 seconds
Idealy when and how do you stop lifeguarding actively and leave the pool deck?
Idealy right before/after a rotation. How: by informing a DS and having them take your place actively lifeguarding, so you are free to leave the pool deck

1. Tell the closest lifeguard
2. The Lifeguard calls everyone out of the pool
3. You keep all your students with you till you hand them off to their parents
4. Once you have no more kids, you go to a DS and ask if there is anything you can do to help

What is the full process when you realise there is a shift that you will not be able to attend?
1. Put in a leave request
2. Notify the managers
3. Send messages to anyone not scheduled to work that day (Individualized messages)
4. Follow up with managers on who you have to cover for you
5. Leave request gets approved, and you are taken off the schedule that day.
