Anything unattached to the ground (rocks not stuck in ground, sticks, leaves, blades of grass)
Can you take a practice swing in a penalty area?
No

Tee box
What should you wear while golfing in a tournament? (3 of 4)
Collared shirt (polo), golf pants/dress pants/or nice jeans, golf shoes/tennis shoes, and a hat/visor worn forwards (never backwards)

Penalty area
Do you get relief from standing water?
Yes. Nearest relief where water isn't coming up when pressing your feet down. One club length. No nearer the hole.
Can you move loose impediment in a penalty area?
Yes
What is the term for the place you finish each hole?
Green
What is common etiquette when someone else is hitting?
Don't talk. Don't move.
What does a white circle with GUR written in it mean?
Ground under repair. Free relief. Nearest spot no nearer the hole plus one club length.
What happens if your ball is on a cart path?
Nearest relief no nearer the hole. One club length.
What are your three options when your ball ends up in a penalty area?
Play it as it lies, two club lengths from the spot the ball crossed the penalty area (no nearer the hole), or as far back from the crossing point, staying in line with the flag.
What is the term for one over par?
Bogey
What does "having the honors" mean?
The player with the lowest score on the previous hole tees off first, followed in order by the next lowest score up to the highest
What is a drop zone?
A drop zone is a designated area for relief when going into a penalty area.
What do you do at the end of a tournament round?
Compare and check scores. Sign as the scorer for the scorecard you were keeping track of and as the attest for your own scorecard. Hand your scorecard into the tournament manager.
