This is when you find your ball but feel it may be too difficult or dangerous to play so you decide to take a one stroke penalty and either go back to your last playing position, take relief two club lengths from the ball no nearer to the hole, or revert back on a straight line between the ball and the hole as far as you wish

A name for "giving" your opponent a putt or the hole in match play situations

The name of the format in which one player plays against another player per hole and gets scored by winning a hole by taking less strokes than your opponent on that hole
