American Civil War (1861-1865)
Fought from 1861 to 1865; first application of Industrial Revolution to warfare; resulted in abolition of slavery in the United States and reunification of North and South.
World Health Organization
WHO;
A specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that is concerned with international public health

Using emotionally appealing but vague words associated with highly valued concepts and beliefs.
Propaganda
any type of ad or commercial that wants to get you to like something or go against it (whether it be a candidate, party,or a position on an issue)
Socialism
Government distributes wealth to protect everyone from inequality (inequality is having a few ultra rich poor and the everyone else poor-unequal). So rich people are taxed more.
French and Indian War (1754-1763)
French & Natives vs. English & Colonists. Ended in 1763 with victory at Quebec ended seven years' war with the British winning. The Taking of Montreal in 1760 ended french as a major power. Natives sided with french as they were the lesser of two evils and had inter-racial relations and treated them with respect.

NGO; an international organization that provides relief to people in times of war or natural disaster

Using ordinary people or trying to sound ordinary to sell something or persuade you to vote or support an idea

Rule by a king or queen. Absolute:means he or she has TOTAL power. Constitutional:means their power is limited by a constitution

Cold War (1945-1991)
A conflict that was between the US and the Soviet Union. The nations never directly confronted each other on the battlefield but deadly threats went on for years.
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)
Agreement that created a free-trade area among the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Bandwagon
A particular activity or cause that suddenly becomes fashionable; Making the listener or viewer want to join the crowd

The Libertarian Party is a political party in the United States that promotes civil liberties, non-interventionism, laissez-faire capitalism and shrinking the size and scope of government
