How is the Temperature different in the northern regions compared to the southern regions.
The Northern regions are much colder as they can go from -34 in the winter to -6 in the summer. In the Southern regions, there is still snow and gets cold, but can get very hot in summers.

Both regions contain a lot of resources. The Canadian Shield contains minerals such as nickel, cooper, gold, and uranium). The Canadian plains primarily have lots of fossil fuels such as oil, natural gas, and coal.
