Describe the Eucharistic liturgy of the early Church as explained by Saint Justin Martyr.

The Christian community met together in one place on Sunday. First, the group listened to readings about the Apostles or the writings of the prophets. Next, the overseer gave a talk encouraging the group to follow the examples in the readings. Then the group prayed together, and the bread, wine, and water were brought forward. The overseer said a blessing and the people responded by saying, “Amen.” Finally, the bread, wine, and water were distributed to the people gathered.
