How do you check out a resident?

Ask for their NYU ID. Pull their reg card. Ask for their keys. Check all keys match with codes. Have resident sign the reg card. Sign the reg card yourself. Put keys in the yellow mini envelope. Give Chiara the keys and reg card. If Chiara is not there put keys in gram mug on shelf above her desk and put the reg card in the wall filer (aka Reggie).

How do your RTS packages?

Write RTS on the package. For USPS packages, cross off the barcodes and write RTS on the package. Fill out the Shift log google form. Return to correct carrier

How do you check in a resident?

Hold on to the residents NYU ID. Put the NYU ID in the Green binder above the RA mailboxes.

How do you check someone into the Guest Suite?

Chiara/BLT will notify you who the person is and put the Guest Suite key in the cup holder on RC desk. Simply give the person the keys when they come in. Email gramercy.hall@nyu.edu to let BLT know they have officially checked in.

Do not write anything on it and return it to the carrier.

How do you process a lock out/loaner key?

Ask for NYU ID and hold the ID, no ID ask for N number or Net ID and room number. Pull reg card. Have resident sign back of reg card while you pull loaner key. Sign reg card and remind them it is for 15 minutes. Log the lockout/loaner key on the RC shift log google form.

How do you process an express check out?

Check the Express checkout box (keys on wizard keychain). Pull reg card. Cut envelope in half, throw out QR code half. Check keys and put them in small yellow envelope (marking the keys and room number). Staple signed half of express check out envelope to back of reg card. Sign final row of the reg card. Put key packet above chiara's desk in cup holder or in pizza box. Give chiara reg card or put it in the Check out wall filer (dependent on Chiara's work hours).

What is the process for handling a prohibited item?

Contact the resident. Inform them they can come pick up the package to RTS themselves but notify them we must watch them leave with the package. It must remain in the RC until they come to take it OUT of the building.

A washing machine is broken and the resident comes to the RC to inform you they filled out a work order via service link but it was denied. What do you do?

Direct them to where they can submit that request via Hercules. Remind them that Hercules handles the washers and not our CBS facilities crew.
