What is the formula for a Passive Voice sentence.
"BE" + Past Participle
Define transitive and intransitive verbs.
Transitive Verb: Followed by an object and can be used in both active and passive voices.
Intransitive Verb: Not followed by an object and can only be used in the active voice.
Define "Unreal Conditional".
Unreal conditional (2nd conditional) is used to show an unlikely or impossible outcome that probably would not happen.
Define "Real Conditional".
Real Conditional (1st Conditional) is used to show a likely or possible outcome that will happen if a specific condition is met.
Define "subject-verb agreement" and provide ONE example.
Subject-verb agreement means that the subject MUST agree with the verb. If the subject is singular, the verb must be written in the singular form. If the subject is plural, the verb must be written in the plural form.
Define "Active Voice" and "Passive Voice".
Active Voice: The subject is the "doer" of the action.
Passive Voice: "Who" or "what" causes the action is unknown. The object of the active voice becomes the subject of the sentence in the passive voice, and the emphasis is now on the "new subject". The "agent" may be dropped or omitted from the sentence if the agent is weak.
