When we look down on a scene like a bird, we are looking from bird’s eye view. This is a great way to show the layout of a space, but also carries with it the feeling of being larger than life.

Eye level, or anything around eye level, is a perspective that creates a strong sense of reader identification. This is how we see things everyday, and we feel like we’re a part of these scenes.

Sound effects -- visual cues that give a sense of noise and sound.

Facial expressions convey universal feelings of happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear & disgust.
What is bleed?
An image that extends beyond the edge of a panel
How can you tell the difference between a Speech Balloon and a Thought Balloon?
Usually the balloon tail for thought balloons are a series of small bubbles. Often the shape of a thought balloon is like a cloud.
What is worm's eye view?
This view is from underneath, and allows the reader to feel small and overpowered.
What does Grawlix mean?
A string of typographical symbols used to represent an offensive word.
What is Emanata?
Lines, squiggles, or text that emanate from a cartoon character or object that represent what’s going on in the character’s head.
