Please list the number of applications and what each round includes of the standard lawn care program.

What does the exterior insect defense protect against? Where do we apply it?
Spiders, wasps, beetles, box elders, and flies. Around the exterior of the home, doors windows, points of entry.
What is the benefit of a mid-season check?
A mid season irrigation check ensures your system is still watering properly after running for part of the season. Sprinkler heads can shift from mowing, weather, or foot traffic, which can cause dry spots or overwatering. During the check, we adjust heads, confirm proper coverage, and look for minor issues. This helps improve water efficiency, keep the lawn and plants healthy, and catch small problems before they become bigger repairs.
How many technicians are typically on a pruning crew?
Two. For larger properties we sometimes have more.
How many branches does Green Oasis Operate out of? Name them. Bonus: How many total?
We operate out of three branches, River Falls, Eau Claire, Rice Lake. Bonus: We have a Woodbury office as a meeting place for customers.
What is the benefit to dethatching? What are the two dethatching services we offer? What are the differences?
Removing excess thatch helps the lawn breathe better, improves nutrient absorption, and allows new grass to grow more easily. Spring-tooth raking and aeration. Spring-tooth raking is a lighter dethatching service that uses flexible spring tines to gently pull up loose thatch and dead grass from the surface of the lawn. It improves air flow and helps clean up the turf without being too aggressive. This is a good option for lawns with mild thatch buildup or as part of routine seasonal maintenance. Aeration pulls small plugs of soil from the lawn, which reduces soil compaction and improves airflow to the root zone. By opening the soil, aeration helps break down the thatch layer naturally by allowing water, oxygen, and beneficial microbes to move through the lawn more easily. These microbes help decompose thatch over time, so aeration works as a natural way to manage thatch buildup while improving root growth and overall lawn health.
How long does a insect defense treatment last?
What is the hourly rate for repairs for customers with the irrigation maintenance program?
$150 an hour plus parts
Describe the Shrub bed weed control program. (Hint: Round 1 is different than the other rounds)
Round 1 is a pre emergent to block existing weeds from germinating. The other rounds are monthly spot spraying visits to ensure consistent weed control throughout the season.
Where do landscaping leads go?
If someone asks about a landscaping service, let them know you will connect them with Wayne who can get a free consultation scheduled to provide an estimate on that service.
Are treatments pet and kid safe?
Granular is safe as long as there are no concerns of a pet or child eating the pellets off the ground. A liquid application typically dries within about 2 hours depending on weather conditions. Once dry, it is safe to walk on. If a pet eats grass, we have not seen issues in past experience, but we cannot predict how much a pet may consume. If a pet tends to eat large amounts of grass, we recommend avoiding weed treatments and considering the organic program instead.
Does exterior insect defense protect against ants?
No. We need to use a different product to target ants. Different ant species require different specialized treatments applied directly to the mounds and area of activity.
Which branch (may be multiple) do we install irrigation systems at? Which one(s) do we not?
We can install irrigation systems in the Eau Claire and Rice Lake area. We do not do installations out of the River Falls location.
How many rounds of the plant health program are there? What are the rounds?
Three rounds. Spring and fall fertilizer injection and an insecticide injection to protect against plant damaging insects.
How many times do we follow up on a lead before it is rejected for no response.
4 after the initial contact.
What are the conditions of a free service call/reapply for the lawn care program?
Must have three or more applications and must be within 7-10 days after an application.
How many treatments of the mole program is recommended?
Depends on how bad the infestation is. We recommend monthly visits to refill bait stations over the course of the year for the best results. Some customers on a budget will see results with just the first 3 applications or going every other month. The program is customizable.
How much are the parts fee for the startup, mid season check, and fall blowout/winterizer?
No parts fee for the startup and mid season check. $8 for a residential system blowout and $12 for a commercial system
Can we prune trees?
We do not bring a lift to prune entire trees, we can however trim lower and reachable branches.

How do you distinguish moles and voles? Are they treated differently?
Moles create raised surface tunnels and ridges in the lawn as they dig through the soil. You may also see small mounds of dirt. They are insect eaters and tunnel underground while searching for grubs and worms. Voles are small rodents that create narrow runways on the surface of the lawn, often hidden in thicker grass or under snow in winter. They commonly chew on grass, plant stems, and sometimes tree bark. Both use poison bait, but different application method and products. Mole bait will be injected directly into the tunnel while rodent will use bait boxes around the home, sheds, and other areas because they are surface dwelling.
When someone asks for a controller upgrade for their system, which type of controller do we recommend installing?
