Are you allowed to take fewer than 12 credits in Megacourse?
No. You must register for all 12 credits; you cannot split them up. (6 credits in Summer A, 6 credits in Summer B)

When is Phase offered over the summer? (Summer A, B, or C?)
Summer C. Many students take Phase and Megacourse together (both taught by Dr. Svoronos - exams for either class never fall in the same week). However, it is NOT recommended that students take more than these 2 courses over the summer.

What are the requirements for a class to be considered a tech elective?
3000+ level science, math or engineering courses that are significantly different from required ChemE courses.

How do students register for research credit over the summer?
They need to fill out the Undergraduate Research Application form in CHE 260 and turn it into the academic advisor to register for EGN 4912.

How do you make an individual advising appointment with Cynthia?
Write your name in an available time slot in the advising scheduling binder in CHE-260.

How many credits can students register for research credit? (Give a range.)
0-3 credits. Keep in mind that if students register for 0 credits of EGN 4912 and are not taking any other university courses at the same time, they will need to pay 1 credit hour to cover the cost of processing the course.

What are the 3 options for getting your advising hold removed?
1. Make an individual appointment with Cynthia. 2. Go to a Group Advising session to fill out your curriculum plan and have it approved by Cynthia. 3. Fill out a completed curriculum plan and drop it off for Cynthia to approve later in CHE 260.

What classes can be substituted for Analytical Chemistry?
1. Any Chemistry courses that is 3000+ and not just a different number of a required course (has to be a unique course) 2. Any CHE courses not already required, including BME 3406 (Only offered Spring) or graduate courses (can be numbered with an undergraduate number); 3. Biochemistry (BCH 3025 offered online).

Can students take Unit Ops Lab over the summer?
No. The only exceptions that may be made for this would be a small section set aside for students who may need it for urgent graduation if they have a job waiting. Otherwise, do not recommend that students should expect a section to be available. No other undergraduate ChE courses are usually available in the summer besides Megacourse and Phase.

Between what range of credit hours may someone apply for a dual major?

What are the requirements for students to be eligible for a minor? (there are technically 5 of them...)
The student must have: 1. A UF GPA of 2.0 or higher 2. Be on track for major 3. Have 45 hours earned 4. Be able to complete at least 6 credits exclusive to the minor 5.
