Why is challenging part of the facilitator’s role?

PAIP groups are not neutral discussion groups. Facilitators have a responsibility to keep the group centered on victim safety, accountability, and behavioral change.

If harmful beliefs go unchallenged, silence may be interpreted as agreement. Other participants may also begin reinforcing or normalizing those beliefs.
